Hey — I'm René, a software engineer based in Germany. By day I architect and build robust backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. By night (and on weekends) I ship iOS apps.
My indie apps are born from a genuine passion for fitness. I train consistently and couldn't find tools that worked exactly how I wanted them to — so I built my own. That's the kind of engineer I am: if it doesn't exist, build it.
I care deeply about clean APIs, well-structured code, and software that actually performs under real-world load. On the iOS side, I obsess over the small details that make an app feel native and fast.
When I'm not at a keyboard, I'm probably lifting weights, doing martial arts, or thinking about the next feature or app to ship.
